THE LAST SPELL: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2” closes out a decade of Hogwarts in Hollywood. Hero Complex is counting down to the release of the final film in the magical franchise with exclusive interviews and photos. Wednesday: Hero Complex debuts a new Patronus application from Warner Bros.
Last month, Hero Complex debuted a Parseltongue translator application from Warner Bros. Now, just in time for the final film’s theatrical release, we’ve got your first crack at a new “What’s Your Patronus?” application.
There are few spells more helpful to Harry Potter than “expecto patronum,” the charm that conjures a magical shield against against Dementors and other dark forces. Harry learns the spell from Professor Remus Lupin during his third year at Hogwarts and uses it to save himself and his godfather Sirius Black from Dementors in the Forbidden Forest. In “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” Harry teaches the spell to Dumbledore’s Army in the Room of Requirement, telling the students they need to focus on a happy memory to produce the charm.
A fully formed, corporeal Patronus takes the form of an animal; Harry’s Patronus is a stag, like his father’s. Hermione‘s is an otter, and Ron‘s is a dog. You can find yours through a new application on the Warner Bros. website, as well as on Facebook. So, as Harry Potter told Dumbledore’s Army, clear your mind, focus on something happy, and “make it a powerful memory, the happiest you can remember.”

There are so many inaccuracies in this article or assumptions, nowhere does it say James' patronus was a stag. Harry did not use it to fend off dementors in the forbidden forest to save sirius, it was by the lake. Nowhere are we told that it wards off anything other than dementors

If you read the books, it is implied that when James was a teenager his patronus was a stag,
James Potter"Stag"James' Animagus form was also that of a stag.

It's not mentioned because it's the only thing that makes sense, really. And in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them it is stated that the Patronus charm is the only known defense against the dark creatures Lethifolds.
Wish people would get it right.
Oh, and the patronus generator? A click and "YOUR PATRONUS IS…". Disappointed.
Actually IT DOES- Both in the movie and the book- it's the reason why Harry has the patronus he does- BTW- in the last book- Ron states that he thought the patronus he follows to the water was harry's until harry notes that his patronus has horns.
The patronus was also used to send messages (as during harry's birthday party, the wedding warning, the 'everyone is alright' message from ron's father……

if you read the books It implies James's was a stag. If you remember in Prisoner of Azkaban in the book, Sirius tells Harry that James's amamagus was a stag.

And Yes!!! Harry's patronus, the Stag saved Sirius and himself (movie) and Hermione too (book) at the lake in HP3- Prisoner of azkaban.

James's patronus is a stag watch the harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban or read the books j.k. rowling stated this information many times in her books, and the dementors attack was in the forest by the lake, watch the movie, i know it's diifrent from the book but not wrong because the writer didn't say if it was in or out the forest this part of the lake and the movie scene was made on her approval, and also you are wrong again to say that the patronus charm works only on dementors, the author also says in the books that this charm is a defense against some dark creatures and one of them are dementors but it is the only charm known to work on dementors

To be more precise, Ron's is a Jack Russel Terrier. They have been known to chase otters, which also eludes to Ron and Hermione's "chase".
Than you have to take a closer look when you see the film "And the order of the phoenix". Because you can clearly see, that the dog is a rottweiler. and no jack russel.

worked for me. my patronus is a Phoenix.
The graphics are cool and all but part of the image is cut off while it's playing. I can make out the sentence for the most part but I miss a couple words more or less. It could just be my computer but I dunno. I got the swan though.
