Superstar comics creators Geoff Johns and Jim Lee say they are bringing bombshell announcements about the future of Superman and the entire DC Universe to the Hero Complex Film Festival on June 11.

The DC leadership duo will be interviewed on stage by Hero Complex lead writer Geoff Boucher as part of the still-expanding Saturday program. Single-day tickets for Saturday are $45 and include a double feature of “Superman” and “Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut,” as well as an on-stage interview with Donner, the director who brought the Man of Steel to the screen in historic fashion in the 1970s. Surprise guests, prize giveaways and more programming will make the day a must-not-miss moment for DC fans and Hero Complex readers.

The 2011 Hero Complex Film Festival runs June 9-12 at the Chinese Six Theatre at Hollywood and Highland. A limited number of discounted four-day passes are also available. Other special guests include Warren Beatty, Jon Favreau, Nicholas Meyer, Damon Lindelof, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and screenings include “Iron Man,” “Dick Tracy,” “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” and “The Incredibles.”

45 bucks… seriously? to watch an old movie with other nerds? feel free to beef up the programming.

That's kind of a bargain – the 20th anniversary showing of "The Rocketeer" is just one movie, and the tickets for that are fifty bucks a pop to see the movie and a panel.

    Oh, please!

  3. South Park fan says:

I wouldn't go to this one because they exchanged all of the guns for walkie talkies.

Seems like a waste of money to watch something you can see at your local video store. Sounds like so much chest-thumping from the folks at DC again. As for bombshells, color me excited. Not.
