Thanos, the death-loving supervillain who made his big-screen debut at the end of “The Avengers,” is getting an extended life in print.

Marvel Comics is reprinting several series featuring the Mad Titan, including Jim Starlin’s “Thanos: The Final Threat” (which contains 1977’s “Avengers Annual” No. 7 and “Marvel Two-in-One Annual” No. 2 ) and “Thanos Quest,” a two-issue mini-series first published in 1990. “Thanos Quest” No. 1’s cover features Andy Park’s concept art for “The Avengers.”

The reprints are slated for a September release. Also out in September is Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley’s “Avengers Assemble” No. 7, featuring Thanos. In the meantime, Marvel fans hungry for more Thanos stories can pick up “Infinity Gauntlet” and “Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos” at comic stores.
