48. “X-Men” No. 1 (2013)  The third “X-Men” No. 1 on this list introduced the franchise’s first all-female team: Storm, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Rachel Grey, Psylocke and Jubilee. The ongoing title from writer Brian Wood (“The Massive,” “DMZ,” “Star Wars”) and artist Olivier Coipel (“House of M,” “Thor”) launched with a first issue boasting the Coipel cover on the left and variants including the “no boys” one by Skottie Young (“Oz” adaptations) on the right.
