Batman is getting a next-gen makeover — and so is the Batmobile.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment unveiled the first footage of the Batmobile from Rocksteady Studios“Batman: Arkham Knight,”  which had been set for release later this year but is now due for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2015.

The follow-up to 2009′s “Arkham Asylum” and 2011′s “Arkham City,” “Arkham Knight” is set one year after the conclusion of “Arkham City” and will offer players a chance to lead the Dark Knight on a mission through Gotham and take on the Scarecrow, who has united with a familiar crew of rogue’s gallery regulars.

Judging by the cast list — and a brief shot in the trailer — it appears that featured villains will include the Riddler, the Penguin and Two-Face.

Kevin Conroy will return to voice the Caped Crusader, after handing off the mantle to Roger Craig Smith for the 2013 prequel “Arkham Origins.”

The title is the fourth console edition of the popular “Arkham” series and the third to be overseen by London’s Rocksteady Studios.

The “Arkham” series has consistently earned rave reviews from critics and fans; “Arkham Asylum” currently holds the Guinness World Record for most critically acclaimed superhero game ever.
