Cowabunga! ‘TMNT’ remake ends Megan Fox-Michael Bay feud

Cowabunga! A ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” remake is on the way. But perhaps the bigger news is this: Actress Megan Fox and director Michael Bay are reuniting for the “TMNT” redo.
The director took to his website Thursday night to announce the news: “TMNT: We Are Bringing Megan Fox Back Into the Family”
Bay and Fox famously clashed while working on the first two “Transformers” movies. At one point during an interview with a British magazine, Fox compared her director to Hitler. Bay lashed back with some tart words of his own, questioning Fox’s work ethic: “I’m sorry, Megan. … I’m sorry that I’m making you show up on time.”

They parted ways for the third installment in the series, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stepping in to play the part of drop-dead-gorgeous female.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” started out as a comic-book series but became an international phenomenon with video games, TV, film and seemingly endless merchandising spinoffs. That means it’s not exactly a surprise that remake-loving Hollywood finally turned its attention to the popular franchise.
Details are scarce about the remake featuring the four humanoid turtles boasting Renaissance-era names — Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael — as they navigate New York City’s sewer system to fight evil under the guidance of Splinter, a mutant rat trained in ninjutsu.
Despite their East Coast leanings, the turtles were heavy on surf lingo. Leo and the gang are at least partly responsible for words such as “bummer,” “radical,” “bodacious” and, of course, “cowabunga!” taking hold in pop culture.
Among the questions fans will have on the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” redo are: When is the release date? Who else will be cast? Will Fox play April O’Neil, the turtles’ human sidekick?
And while we’re asking lots of questions, let’s ask this one: Are you looking forward to a remake of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”?
