The next installment of “Assassin’s Creed” will come out by April 2014, and will take place in a new time period, with a new hero, Ubisoft Chief Executive Yves Guillemot announced Thursday during the company’s third-quarter earnings call.

A representative for Ubisoft told The Times that the company had no additional details to share at this time, but that there will be more information coming soon.

REVIEW: ‘Assassin’s Creed 3,’ an alternate history, with footnotes

The last installment of the franchise, “Assassin’s Creed III,” was released in October 2012.

That game takes place during the American Revolution, and features protagonist Connor Kenway, birth name Ratonhnhaké:ton, the son of a European colonist and a Native American woman from the Mohawk nation, or Kanien’keha:ka, as they prefer to be called.

It features cameos from Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.

Ubisoft is currently gearing up for the Feb. 19  release of part one of “The Tyranny of King Washington,” a three-part downloadable content pack for “Assassin’s Creed III” that can extend gamers’ game play.

Part two will launch on March 19, and part three will come out on April 23.

The graphics are really impressive, but I still think this game would need more diversity when talking about tasks and commands. I also wouldn't mind a little humor!

  2. doesntmatter says:

It would be so cool if you could climb mountains, or do tasks other than killing other characters. I'd love it if this game would be a little more similar to Skyrim!

  3. sfat says:

Looks cool! I'll be sure to try it. Ubisoft doesn't let us down. When I was little EA Games used to run the show….guess everything must come to an end.

  4. crina says:

I've been a fan of this game since it's first release. I'm sure this one is good too.

  5. adelin says:

This game is pretty badass as it is, think about how satisfying winning a fight can be
