LinkThe American Cinematheque will host a “Mary Poppins” screening at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Aero Theatre that ties into “The Art of Disney” exhibit and sale at the adjacent Every Picture Tells a Story gallery in Santa Monica. The exhibit will feature limited-edition prints, original works and production classics from the Disney archives. Disney studio artists Lorelay Bove (“Princess and the Frog,” “Tangled“), Harrison Ellenshaw (“Tron,” “The Black Hole“) and Lisa Keene (“Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast”) will be special guests at the Saturday opening. Artist Trevor Carlton will also give a “live art and music performance” and there will be free storybook readings. The events at the gallery on Saturday run from 2 to 8 p.m. The Aero also has Saturday evening screenings of “The Absent-Minded Professor” and “The Parent Trap.” The overall “Art of Disney” exhibit at Every Picture runs June 18-July 22.
