YEAR 1: Daniel Radcliffe joined the cast of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" as Harry Potter, "the boy who lived." The dark wizard Lord Voldemort killed his parents and tried to kill Harry when he was a baby, leaving a zigzag scar on his forehead. Harry lived in a cupboard under the stairs at his Aunt and Uncle Dursley's house on Privet Drive until, on Harry's 11th birthday, Rubeus Hagrid informed him that he was a wizard and invited him to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
