"John Carter" (Disney)
Disney’s official fan club, D23, is making Mars a red-carpet planet — the club is lining up special access opportunities for the world premiere of director Andrew Stanton’s space-spanning epic “John Carter.”
The world premiere of “John Carter,” which stars Taylor Kitsch as Edgar Rice Burrough’s Warlord of Mars, will be held Feb. 22 at the Regal Cinema at L.A. Live. Starting Wednesday, D23 will offer members chances for special access to the premiere’s red carpet as well as an adjacent viewing area. There will also be a special screening of the film for D23 members that day. The tickets are free (sort of — there’s a $5 service charge) but you can’t get them unless you have a membership in D23.
