April 17, 2015 | 4:45 p.m.

Welcome to a special “Star Wars” edition of Paycheck Friday, a roundup of some of Hero Complex’s favorite toys, books, games and other merchandise.

In honor of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim this weekend, this week’s paycheck goes to expanding (or starting) the “Star Wars”-themed shelf in your geek cave. Included are picks for items available outside the confines of the Anaheim Convention Center, as well as some exclusives from the expo.

First up we have the Lego Slave I set.

When building a collection, it’s quite apropos to have a trophy that also displays your building skills. What better way to celebrate the “Star Wars” franchise than with a model of a ship that appears in films from the original trilogy and the prequel series?

The Lego Slave I set also includes figures for Boba Fett and a carbonite-sealed Han Solo to enable fans to display re-creations of scenes involving the bounty hunter’s delivery of the smuggler as they played out in “The Empire Strikes Back.”

Of course, nothing is more perfectly paired with shelves than books. The world of “Star Wars” books is vast, but our pick is for “Goodnight Darth Vader” by Jeffrey Brown.

With the new teaser for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” paying tribute to a special family moment in “Return of the Jedi,” it’s only fitting that we spotlight the newest installment of the book series filled with the many family moments Darth Vader has to face as he raises his twins Luke and Leia, such as bedtime.

The book is a follow-up to “Darth Vader and Son,” and “Vader’s Little Princess.”

Finally, we have an item that is not necessarily for a “Star Wars” shelf, but more to carry items to and from said shelf.

The Ewok purse is large enough for your “Star Wars” book, phone, wallet and even figurines, but also small enough that it will keep you from going overboard with too many new purchases.

For those of you ready to take your Ewok purse out for a spin at Star Wars Celebration, here are some bonus picks that are Celebration exclusives.

The R2-KT character car is available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration. (Jeff O'Brien / Mattel)

The R2-KT character car is available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration. (Jeff O’Brien / Mattel)

First up, we have the R2-KT character car from Hot Wheels.

R2-KT is an actual pink life-sized droid that was given to a 7-year-old girl named Katie Johnson during her battle with brain cancer in 2005 to watch over her and provide companionship before her passing. Now, R2-KT travels the world visiting children’s hospitals, looking to spread hope and the joy of being a “Star Wars” fan to kids.

The exclusive character car is a hot rod based on the image of the special droid. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to Star Wars: Force for Change, so not only do you add to your “Star Wars” shelf, you are also helping fund charitable efforts. For those that need additional incentive, the actual R2-KT droid will be at the Mattel booth.

Next up is the Unmasked Vader Pop! vinyl figure from Funko.

If you couldn’t tell, the new “The Force Awakens” teaser has our brain filled with Darth Vader. Visit the Funko booth to nab the helmetless Vader and explain that the missing accessory was used as a prop in the new movie.

Finally, we have a Rancor bottle opener, because all good geek hideouts need either a Rancor or a bottle opener. Though it might be nice to have a Rancor to deal with unwanted visitors, not all of us have access to geek caves with trap doors. Fortunately, a Rancor bottle opener is not as high maintenance to own. The Rancor bottle opener can be found at the Celebration Store.

Star Wars Celebration is at the Anaheim Convention Center through Sunday.
