Natalie Portman’s character is front and center in a new TV spot for “Thor: The Dark World.”

Portman’s character, astrophysicist Jane Foster, takes Chris Hemsworth’s Thor to task for not contacting her during his previous Earth visit — defending New York from an alien attack during the events of 2012′s “The Avengers.”

“I saw you with the Avengers!” she tells him, accusingly.

“Jane, I fought to protect Earth,” Thor responds.

“Is that your excuse?” Jane demands. “It’s not terrible…”

Jane also comes face-to-face, or rather fist-to-face, with Tom Hiddleston’s duplicitous villain Loki in Asgard. She punches him, saying, “That was for New York.”

Loki grins and tells his brother, “I like her.”

Like previous trailers, the one-minute TV spot (watch it above) emphasizes an uneasy alliance between Thor and Loki and promises epic action, both on Earth and in other worlds, including Asgard.

The TV spot arrives just over a month before “Thor: The Dark World” hits theaters. The film, a sequel to 2011′s “Thor,” is directed by Alan Taylor (“Game of Thrones”) and, in addition to Hemsworth, Hiddleston and Portman, stars Christopher Eccleston as the dark elf Malekith, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Algrim (also known as Kurse), Kat Dennings (Jane’s research assistant Darcy Lewis), Stellan Skarsgård (Eric Selvig, who survived the events of “The Avengers”), Idris Elba (Heimdall) and Jaimie Alexander (lady warrior and Thor’s childhood friend Sif). Also returning in the sequel are the Warriors Three: Ray Stevenson as Volstagg, Tadanobu Asano as Hogun and Zachary Levi replacing “Once Upon a Time” star Josh Dallas as Fandral.
