“Divergent” is expected to be a blockbuster when it opens in theaters Friday, but for fans of the bestselling young adult book trilogy on which the film is based, it’s a chance to see author Veronica Roth’s dystopian future come to life on the big screen. The film, directed by Neil Burger, is set in a future society where teenagers are tested and strictly divided into factions based on their personalities.
