‘Divergent’: Ansel Elgort talks Caleb, ‘The Fault in Our Stars’

“Divergent” is expected to be a blockbuster when it opens in theaters Friday, but for fans of the bestselling young adult book trilogy on which the film is based, it’s a chance to see author Veronica Roth’s dystopian future come to life on the big screen. The film, directed by Neil Burger, is set in a future society where teenagers are tested and strictly divided into factions based on their personalities. Young heroine Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) discovers she is divergent, meaning she shows an aptitude for multiple factions, and she decides to join Dauntless, the faction based on bravery.
