BlizzCon: Warcraft, Foo Fighters and more at game convention

World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo enthusiasts will converge in Anaheim on Friday and Saturday for the BlizzCon gaming convention. BlizzCon, held by Blizzard Entertainment at the Anaheim Convention Center, will feature a live performance by the Foo Fighters, panels with game developers and game demos, tournaments and contests. Actor and comedian Jay Mohr will host several contests, including costume and dancing competitions, and attendees can compete for prizes in eSports tournaments featuring professional players. Though tickets for the event, priced at $175 a pop, are sold out, BlizzCon is selling “Virtual Tickets” for $40 each, which allow distant fans to access four HD channels of streaming video from the convention center.
