The July 26 schedule for Comic-Con 2014 was officially released Saturday, with big offerings from Warner Bros. and the always highly anticipated Marvel Studios panel topping the day’s events. Warner Bros. will be kicking off the day from 10 a.m. to noon in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center, the event’s 6,500-seat premier venue, in a big way. Peter Jackson will be on hand to share details of “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” set to open Dec. 17. Director George Miller will also be appearing to share an early look at “Mad Max: Fury Road,” which reimagines the post-apocalyptic saga and stars Tom Hardy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises”) in the title role of Max Rockatansky. Warner Bros. Television will bring a host of new series to Comic-Con International in San Diego later this month. On Monday, word came that Fox’s upcoming series “Gotham” would premiere at San Diego’s Comic-Con International in its first public screening, as would the CW’s new show “The Flash.” But in a release issued Wednesday, the company confirmed that a total of 15 shows will make appearances at the annual pop culture expo, including “iZombie,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Supernatural.” The complete list is “Arrow,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Childrens Hospital,” “Constantine,” “The Flash,” “The Following,” “Gotham,” “The 100,” “iZombie,” “Mike Tyson Mysteries,” “The Originals,” “Person of Interest,” “Supernatural,” “Teen Titans Go!” and “The Vampire Diaries.” Among the actors set to travel to San Diego are Kevin Bacon from “The Following”; Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder from “The Vampire […]

“Gotham” has been teasing fans with casting and posters and trailers, but now some will finally get to see a world premiere of how all of that dark imagery jells — at the one place that could possibly make or break the show: Comic-Con International. The chronicle of Det. James Gordon and a young Bruce Wayne set to air on Fox isn’t the only DC Comics-based show that will invade San Diego. A complete pilot for the CW’s “The Flash,” a glimpse at Season 3 of its network ally “Arrow” and footage from NBC’s “Constantine” will all be presented by Warner Bros. The first trailer for NBC’s pilot “Constantine” has arrived, offering a sneak peak into Matt Ryan’s portrayal of the beloved antihero. The show is based on the DC Comics character John Constantine, a chain-smoking con man and occult detective from Liverpool, England, known for his cynicism and foul-mouthed snark. Constantine, who served as the lead character in the “Hellblazer” series, made his comics debut in a 1985 issue of “Swamp Thing.” More recently, he’s the star of his own New 52 title, “Constantine,” and a major player in “Justice League Dark.” Judging from the new trailer, the NBC series, created by executive producers Daniel Cerone (“Dexter”) and David S.
