Spider-Man, Iron Man and the Hulk are hitting the road. Hero Ventures, the company behind the new live-action road show featuring favorite Marvel comics characters, revealed the first four stops on their “Marvel Experience: The World’s First Hyper-Reality Tour” at New York Comic-Con on Thursday. Designed with the aid of concept artist Aaron Sims, who worked on “The Incredible Hulk,” “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “X-Men: First Class,” the show covers more than two acres and encompasses seven colossal domes, a life-size Avengers Quinjet, the world’s only 360-degree, 3-D stereoscopic full-dome attraction and a state-of-the-art 4-D motion ride. The “Experience” will preview in Phoenix from Dec. 12-Jan. 3, 2015, before officially premiering in Dallas on Jan. 9. Animation pioneer Jerry Rees will lead the creative team developing the Marvel Experience, a theme-park attraction expected to tour the U.S. and Canada later this year. A film director and producer known for his animation work in “Tron” and his 1987 milestone short film “The Brave Little Toaster,” Rees has directed 16 Disney theme park attractions around the world in California, Hong Kong, Florida and Paris.
