Ridley Scott’s sequel to “Prometheus” will open March 4, 2016. The venerable filmmaker is working with screenwriter Michael Green on a follow-up to the 2012 release, which returned Scott to some of the sci-fi vistas he crafted with “Alien,” a film that celebrates the 35th anniversary of its landmark release this year. Written by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts, “Prometheus” starred Swedish actress Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw, one of a team of scientists that embarks on a groundbreaking mission to explore the origins of life on Earth by traveling to the stars.
