‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′: First movie poster revealed

The first movie poster for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1″ has been revealed and, you guessed it, it’s a Mockingjay pin. On fire. The teaser poster was released Wednesday and is making the rounds on Twitter. The poster, like the teasers for previous installments “The Hunger Games” and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” draws inspiration from book covers of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling book trilogy, on which the films are based. This poster features the fictional Mockingjay bird with outstretched wings, symbolic of the story’s heroine Katniss Everdeen, who inadvertently becomes the face of a rebellion. “Mockingjay – Part 1″ is slated for theatrical release in November, with “Part 2″ due out in 2015. ‘Hunger Games’ finds Cressida in ‘Game of Thrones’ star Natalie Dormer

“The Hunger Games” has found its Cressida in “Game of Thrones” actress Natalie Dormer. The 31-year-old English actress has been cast in the two-part feature adaptation of the final installment in Suzanne Collins bestselling trilogy of books, “Mockingjay.” She’ll play a filmmaker who follows the heroic Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), attempting to document her efforts to overthrow the sinister Capitol government. Dormer had a small role in “Captain America: The First Avenger,” but she’s arguably best known to genre audiences for her performance on HBO’s lavish fantasy “Game of Thrones,” in which she plays Margaery Tyrell, the savvy bride-to-be of the ruthless King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson).
