Peter Parker’s big screen universe just got a whole lot bigger. Sony has announced plans for new movies about Spider-Man’s nemesis Venom and the collective of bad guys known as the Sinister Six via its Electro Arrives website. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Ed Solomon will write the screenplay for “Venom,” while Drew Goddard will write, and potentially direct, “The Sinister Six,” focusing on the the villains in the franchise. Additionally, Kurtzman, Orci and Jeff Pinkner will write the script for “The Amazing Spider-Man 3,” which is set to arrive in theaters June 10, 2016. It’s been a busy time for the webslinger in terms of news. On Dec. 5, an action-packed trailer for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ arrived, showcasing Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker facing off against a number of foes, including Jamie Foxx’s villain Electro and Paul Giamatti’s Rhino.
