‘Terra Nova’: Big explosions ahead

Stephen Lang in "Terra Nova" (Fox)
Even ultimate toughs like Stephen Lang’s Commander Nathaniel Taylor find it difficult to conceal vulnerability in the world of Fox’s series “Terra Nova.” But Lang, one of the stars of the weekly adventure mystery that centers on a family sent from a dystopian future to a more optimistic human colony set in the prehistoric age, had no problem letting loose in front of a critical New York audience. ‘Terra Nova’: Fox postpones Steven Spielberg’s time-travel epic

"Terra Nova" (Fox)
Scott Collins reports that “Terra Nova” is moving through time but not in a cool sci-fi way… Fox announced late Friday that it would push back the much-anticipated premiere of Steven Spielberg’s time-travel epic, “Terra Nova.” The series was supposed to get a splashy two-hour preview on May 23 and 24, but now won’t be seen until the fall. Network sources say that the show’s elaborate special effects are the culprit. “Terra Nova” stars Jason O’Mara as the head of a family in the 22nd century who is transported back to prehistoric times as part of an experiment to save Earth. “‘Terra Nova’ is one of the most ambitious television series ever produced,” Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly said in a statement. “The cutting-edge visual effects used to create the world of ‘Terra Nova,’ which is of massive scope and ...
