‘Arrow’ Season 3 trailer spotlights Oliver and Felicity, Brandon Routh
The new trailer for Season 3 of “Arrow” has arrived, and the 90-second clip teases the possibility of real romance between Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), with the two planning a dinner date during a high-speed chase.
Watch the trailer below.
At Comic-Con International in July, “Arrow” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg promised that the upcoming run of episodes, which kicks off Oct. 8, will reveal more about Felicity’s back story and her years at MIT in an installment titled “Oracle.” (Oracle, of course, is the secret identity of Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon, who became an information broker and computer expert after she was made a paraplegic by the Joker’s bullet — Kreisberg definitely seemed to hint that she could make an appearance on “Arrow” this season).
Pointing out that third seasons typically do introduce game-changing characters, he also took note of several of the new faces joining “Arrow’s” roster, including Brandon Routh, who played Superman in “Superman Returns,” as Ray Palmer (aka Atom); Tatsu Yamashiro as the blade-wielding Katana and Karl Yune as her husband, Maseo.
Also in store? Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) will complete his transformation into the costumed hero Arsenal.
The world of “Arrow” will expand with cross-overs to the new “Flash” series, starring Grant Gustin as the world’s fastest man.
