March 30, 2015 | 7:45 a.m.

During the 90-minute fifth season finale of “The Walking Dead,” AMC gave fans their first trailer for the upcoming spinoff series, “Fear the Walking Dead.”

As previously speculated, the new series will take place during the first days of the zombie outbreak, when society was still relatively functional.

Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens lead the ensemble cast in the series set in Los Angeles in the same world as “The Walking Dead.” It was co-created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey also star.

Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert will executive produce the new series alongside Kirkman and Erickson. It has already been picked up for two seasons by AMC and will begin its six-episode first season sometime later this summer.

Will anyone from the walking dead be a cast member

  2. Tony Stray says:

No. It's set in a totally different part of the country and due to the breakdown in civilization there isn't really any way to get from LA to Atlanta or Washington other than by walking.

  3. John says:

I believe they develop na new form of transportation. They put a live human in a cart with loud music blaring. Then they leash many many zombies to the noisy cart in front of them and the quiet transportation cart behind them. the zombies pull the transportation cart as if they were horses. They were going to call this Zip Cars but that name was taken so they call them Z Cars, Z for Zombie. Humans are an endlessly inventive species.

I wanted Lennie James to be in it. He will not be?
