“Game of Thrones” fans in Europe and Israel can join a house of Westeros, sit on the Iron Throne and see the top of the Wall at Castle Black as part of a touring exhibition devoted to the hit HBO fantasy series.
“Game of Thrones: The Exhibition” is kicking off its third tour next month. Stops include London, Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Madrid, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris with possible additional cities to be announced later.
The 2015 exhibition features new installations, photo stations and Web-based interactive features. Fans can join a house of Westeros — such as Stark, Lannister or Targaryen — before entering the exhibition, ride the winch elevator to the top of the 700-foot Wall at Castle Black (thanks to an Oculus Rift virtual experience), and take a picture on the Iron Throne.
The exhibition also showcases more than 70 props used in the first four seasons — including costumes, armor, jewelry, weapons and replicas of White Walkers and dragons — as well as new pieces from Season 5. Click through the gallery above for a look at a few of the items on display.
The touring exhibition begins Feb. 9 in London. (Click here for more tour stops and other information.)
The sprawling series, based on the “A Song of Ice and Fire” books by George R. R. Martin, is expected to return in April, but fans can get a sneak preview of the upcoming fifth season beginning Jan. 23, when select IMAX theaters will screen a new trailer as well as Season 4’s final two episodes — “The Watchers on the Wall” and “The Children.”
