Milo Ventimiglia, well-known for his work on NBC’s “Heroes,” will join the cast of Fox’s “Gotham,” playing a serial killer known as the Ogre.
The character, which is not the same as the Ogre that previously existed in the DC canon, will first appear in the 19th episode of the series, Warner Bros. Television confirmed today.
The Ogre, whose given name is Jason Lemmon, is described as a handsome and wealthy predator who abducts women in search of a perfect mate. His victims meet with grim fates after they fail to meet his exacting standards in a series of “tests.”
Charting the exploits of a young Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he battles to protect the city from mobsters and criminals, “Gotham” has performed well for the network and already has been given an order for a second season.
Robin Lord Taylor, in particular, has been singled out for his riveting take on the Penguin.
