This Sunday is the big 2009 Movie Sneaks issue of the Calendar section of the Los Angeles Times and I have stories in it on “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Watchmen.“
Also, we’ve been doing a lot of television tie-in’s with KTLA here in Los Angeles and put together an entire show with their folks and our writers here. It airs on KTLA tonight (Jan. 9) at 10:30 p.m. with an encore at 5 p.m. Sunday. The show then goes national on the REELZ channel, which will air it 8 p.m. this Sunday night with sporadic reruns over the days that follow.
I’m a print journalist, not a broadcast guy and, well, with good reason. But, at the risk of public ridicule, I did a lot of on-air spots for the show. Here’s one on “Star Trek,” a movie I think will be one of the very biggest hits of the year.
