As of 5 p.m., Yahoo released a new "Watchmen" trailer, which will play in front of "Quantum of Solace" (and I’m sure some of you will be in the midnight screenings). It starts out with a tinkling theme that reminded me for a moment of "The Godfather" as Rorschach narrates a bit. More action, more carnage, more powers displayed and a bit more to say about the movie. The Smashing Pumpkins music for the first trailer was great, and Muse’s background sounds during this trailer are also pretty dramatic.

P.S. – And if you want to hear the Muse song in full …

Godfather-esque?
It's actually from Koyaanisqatsi… the track Prophecies.
Hey, throw Philip Glass a frickin' bone!
*Squeal*
Yey.
I cant wait to see this movie !!! =D
The only problem i have is Manhattan's voice. It should be deeper. They should have done something to give it more of an echo, or more presence. His speech bubbles are different from everyone else's in the book, and they should have brought that to the screen. Other than that, i got no complaints. This and Inglourious Basterds are the only movies that i actually want to see next year.
The Muse song is take a bow
the one thing that I'm a bit disappointed with is doc Manhattan's voice, i mean, not how it actually sounds, but just the fact that there's a slight hint of personality in it, whereas i was expecting something deeper, wiser, and above all, monotonous. well, not necessarily monotonous, but more along the lines of lacking emotion. either way, can't wait to see it
Looks awesome, but the serious problem Snyder's facing is what he did with the ending. Some people think it's not that big of a deal, I beg to differ. If there's no genetically engineered alien squid then it ruins everything for me. That's one of the great things of Watchmen…the moment you put all the pieces together and you are just like "Did that just happen? WHAT THE FUUUU…" or at least that's how I reacted. Everything else looks fantastic (I do agree Manhattan's voice isn't what I expected) but besides that with this whole Manhattan-like-nuclear attack instead of the squid, that's gonna ruin the whole movie.
Does anyone know the song between the Philip Glass song and the Muse song?
It isn't Prophesies, it is Pruit Igoe. But yeah it's from Koyaanisquatsi.
The part in the trailer that shows a nuclear detination is from a dream the Night Owl has. As far as I've heard, the ending is still gonna be the same as the novel.
when that chick says "do it for me" (i.e., save the world), she's a laughably bad actress; she could be a teenager ordering fries with that delivery
Wow fleabell, I didn't know you saw the whole movie and your comment is based on the actress' (Malin Akerman) 2 hour performance and not the ignorance of someone who thinks they can tell when a movie is good from a 2min trailer. Can you tell me where you saw it?
Weak. I saw "Quantum" last night, and no trailer…
